Family Mission Trip Post #2- Bible School begins

Our VBS team had their first day of Bible School. We had about 40 people and expect more tomorrow. The team did a great job of decorating and those in VBS really enjoyed the bright colors. Most of all they enjoyed being with our adults, teenagers, and children. There was much joy at Bible School.

Our construction team did not get their materials in a timely fashion. Both the siding and roof trusses were late. The culprit was Hurricane Dolly, creating backlogs of materials and days without production because of lack of power. Despite the delays the team worked quickly when the materials came and are actually ahead of schedule.

Many people play important roles on our team but some stand out for their willingness to go above and beyond. Melissa and Ivan Fernandez are cooking breakfast each day, getting up before 5am to have it ready for our construction team at 6:15am and again for our VBS team at 7:30am. Thanks Ivan and Melissa.

Wednesday and Thursday are our block party days. We look forward to seeing what the Lord does.
